When choosing a room, compare the exact layout, view, balcony or terrace, and whether a family category gives genuinely separated sleeping space. For longer stays, restaurant variety, snack hours and the location of quieter pool areas can make as much difference as the star rating.

Galaxy Beach Resort: Beach, Pools, Kids Club & All Inclusive

Galaxy Beach Resort has a particularly useful position for guests who want to be close to Laganas while still having a beach-resort environment. The hotel currently lists an outdoor freshwater swimming pool and a separate children's freshwater Caretta pool, with sunbeds and umbrellas. Guests also have beach access, and some All Inclusive tiers include additional beach privileges.

The main dining venue is Galaxy Stars, serving Greek, Mediterranean and international-style buffet food with theme nights, children's menus and special diets available on request. The hotel lists three bars: main, pool and roof-garden options, with the roof garden providing panoramic views across Laganas Bay. The standard All Inclusive programme currently covers buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, drinks from 10:00–23:00, daytime sandwiches, children's ice cream and afternoon tea/cakes.

Families have a fully equipped Kids Club, children's playground and children's pool. Activity choices include table tennis, beach volleyball and water sports, while the hotel also describes occasional entertainment. The All Inclusive programme lists billiards/snooker, table tennis, darts and entertainment among included facilities.

Galaxy is therefore not a giant waterpark hotel. Its strength is combining a proper family set-up with the beach and Laganas resort on the doorstep. Parents can use the kids facilities and pool during the day, then walk out for shops and resort entertainment in the evening.

Laganas and the National Marine Park

Laganas is famous for nightlife, but the bay is also environmentally important because it forms part of the National Marine Park and loggerhead turtle habitat. Responsible turtle trips, Cameo Island, Agios Sostis and Kalamaki give families and couples plenty to do away from the main strip.

Food, Drink & All Inclusive

The useful question is not simply whether All Inclusive is available, but what is actually included. Check current buffet times, snack service, à la carte access, reservation rules, ice cream, branded drinks and the closing time of the All Inclusive bars. These details matter considerably on a 10- or 14-night stay.

What Is Laganas Like?

The setting puts guests close to the action of Laganas but also beside the broad sweep of Laganas Bay. It is better for guests comfortable with a lively resort than those wanting an isolated retreat.

Kalamaki, Cameo Island, Agios Sostis, Keri and Zante Town are easy additions when you want time away from the main Laganas strip.

Transfer & Getting Around

Zante is compact, so transfer distances are generally manageable compared with larger Greek islands. A private transfer reduces hotel stops, while a hire car for two or three days is useful for northern villages, viewpoints, Blue Caves departure points and quieter beaches.
