What Is Hotel LIVVO Jandía Golf Really Like?

Hotel LIVVO Jandía Golf is not a typical beachfront package hotel. It sits inland in the Barranco de Vinamar, built into the landscape beside Jandía Golf. That gives it a quieter, more spacious feeling than hotels lined directly along the seafront. The trade-off is that you are not stepping straight out onto the sand, so this is a better fit for families who are happy to use the hotel’s beach transport, a taxi or a hire car when they want a beach day.

The resort itself feels self-contained. With 238 rooms spread across different room categories, several pool zones, slides, daytime entertainment, sports and golf on the doorstep, families can comfortably spend full days at the hotel. The three heated saltwater pool areas have different personalities: a children’s pool for younger guests, a more general beach-style pool and a slide pool that gives older children something more exciting than simply swimming.

What makes this hotel different is the combination of family resort and golf resort. One parent can play Jandía Golf while the rest of the family use the pools and Mini Club, which is unusual for an All Inclusive family hotel. The dry, open landscape and golf-course views also make the hotel feel very different from the busier resort centres of Corralejo or Caleta de Fuste.

The All Inclusive set-up is useful for families planning to spend a lot of time on site. El Faro is the main buffet restaurant, Birdie adds themed Italian-style evenings on selected nights, and the snack/pool bars mean you do not have to leave the pool area every time somebody wants a drink or something to eat. El 19 is the more grown-up à la carte option and is charged separately, so it is worth checking what is and is not included before you travel.

Room choice matters here. The hotel has Standard Family, Deluxe Family and golf-view family options, so larger rooms are genuinely designed around family use rather than simply squeezing extra beds into a standard double. If you plan to spend evenings on the balcony or want a more scenic outlook, a golf-view room can be worth considering.

The main strength: plenty to do on site, family rooms, slides, heated pools and a quieter setting. The main compromise: the beach and Morro Jable are not immediately outside the hotel. Families who want a lively promenade on the doorstep may prefer Corralejo or central Caleta de Fuste; families who want space, pools and a resort atmosphere may prefer this.

• Visit the Punta Jandia lighthouse and southern peninsula.
• Try cycling, snorkelling or coastal walking in the Jandia area.
